Celebrating Shaun Kelly’s Outstanding Achievement
We are incredibly proud to congratulate Shaun Kelly on being appointed as a Children and Young People’s Ambassador and receiving the Outstanding Contribution Award in recognition of his support for Fortalice.
This is a fantastic achievement and a well-deserved acknowledgement of Shaun’s commitment to making a positive difference within the local community. His appointment as an ambassador gives him an important opportunity to represent the voices, experiences and perspectives of children and young people.
Supporting an Important Local Charity
Fortalice is a Bolton-based charity that provides vital frontline services for individuals and families who are, or have previously been, affected by domestic abuse and violence.
The charity works to provide safety, guidance and practical support to people during incredibly difficult periods in their lives. Its services help individuals and families begin rebuilding their confidence, independence and future in a safe and supportive environment.
Organisations such as Fortalice play an essential role within the community, and the dedication of their staff, volunteers, ambassadors and supporters helps ensure that vulnerable people can access the assistance they need.
Shaun’s involvement with the charity demonstrates compassion, responsibility and a genuine desire to support others. Receiving the Outstanding Contribution Award is a significant honour and reflects the positive impact of his efforts.
Children and Young People’s Ambassador
As a Children and Young People’s Ambassador, Shaun will help represent and promote matters that are important to younger members of the community. This appointment recognises his ability to communicate, contribute and serve as a positive example to others.
The ambassadorial role is also an opportunity for Shaun to develop his confidence, leadership and communication skills while supporting work that can create meaningful change.
At Lord’s Independent School, we believe that education extends far beyond academic study. We encourage our pupils to become thoughtful, responsible and compassionate individuals who understand the importance of contributing positively to their communities.
Shaun’s achievement is a wonderful example of these values in action. His willingness to become involved, speak on behalf of young people and support an important local organisation is something of which the entire school community can be proud.
Celebrating the Achievement
Shaun was joined by the Lord Mayor of Bolton and Mrs Stephens as he proudly displayed his trophies and celebrated this special occasion.
Our resident reporter also had the opportunity to interview Shaun about his appointment and award. During the interview, Shaun was able to reflect on his experience, discuss the importance of supporting Fortalice and share what this recognition means to him.
The occasion provided a wonderful opportunity to celebrate not only Shaun’s personal achievement but also the essential work carried out by Fortalice throughout Bolton.
An Inspiration to Others
Achievements such as this remind us that young people can play an important role in creating positive change. By showing kindness, speaking up for others and becoming involved in their communities, pupils can make a meaningful contribution regardless of their age.
Shaun’s recognition demonstrates the value of commitment, empathy and active participation. We hope his achievement will inspire other pupils to consider how they can use their own interests, abilities and voices to support those around them.
Everyone at Lord’s Independent School would like to congratulate Shaun on his appointment as Children and Young People’s Ambassador and on receiving the Outstanding Contribution Award.
We are extremely proud of what he has accomplished and look forward to seeing him continue to make a positive contribution to Fortalice and the wider community.
