The Education Regulation 2006 states that Headteachers may not grant any leave of absence during term time unless there are exceptional circumstances. The school will ask for proof of the circumstances. Parents taking their child out of school without permission may face an £80 fine.

▪ We also require all routine medical appointments, for example, to the doctor, the hospital, and the dentist, to be made outside of school hours. This will ensure minimal disruption to your child’s education. (NB: Optician appointments are not permitted during school times.)
